portrait sale for the win!

Well, the sale was a huge success... so as soon as everyone pays me (and a lot of them did already), I'm going to buy my plane ticket to DC! (or baltimore - whichever is cheaper).

I think I'm going to offer this again in a few weeks. 'Cause some people didn't get in, and they want some portraits. I just don't think I can get more than 100 done in two weeks.

Oh, and by the way - just so everyone knows, I'll be posting scans of the finished cards under the last comment by the person who requested them, and turning their names blue in the good 'ol' grid. So, if you want to see how they turn out as I get them done, you can go there and take a peek. (track the thread if you like - that will let you know every time I update it.)

I've actually decided I'm gonna make myself a couple of portraits to carry around - Jules Verne, Sirius black, and Elvis Costello.

I think I'll do another one the first week in October. My son's birthday is the 17th, and I'll need supplemental income if I'm gonna get him a present this year.

The past couple of years, all I could manage was something really small, and then I made him some things.

When would you need it? 'Cause I have two fests, all of these cards, and three commissions I have to get done before the end of october. I know that sounds like a lot, but I work fast.

However, it would still take a while. Um... yeah, I pretty much have to focus on the paid work for a while 'course, I might be able to do it for Daily Deviant this month... kill two birds with one stone?

Let me think on how I can manage that.

I'd have no objections to that! We'd like to start getting people psyched for it sometime in the next month, even though we won't take signups for a while yet. So it would be coolness supreme to have it by the end of this month. (I could always make the comm without art and change the design later, but it'd be nice to be able to make pimping banners with it and stuff, too.)

The mini-portrait sale is brilliant. I definitely want more! Hell, I'd love a whole selection of Snapes! There's no such thing as enough Snapes, especially when they're as gorgeous as the one you drew for me. :D I can just see it now; every time you offer these, I get a few different characters and a Snape. :D A whole progression of Snapes!

Yeah, I get to draw dozens of Snapes for this thing, and so far each one is turning out different. It's pretty fun, actually.
