Ugh, that flu is awful. I wanted to die several times when I had it.
And, guh, sounds like life is really tough right now. There could be so many things going on with your son that don't mean you're a bad parent. Also, I bet there are many wonderful things about him that are not related to grades that you just might have had some influence over. It is so hard being a parent. There's nothing like a little guilt and self-flagelation to make it tougher. Everyone's sick right now, it's nothing to do with you. I'm sorry you feel so yucky.
Sounds like a little help from the Dad wouldn't hurt - grrrr.
