Okay, so you guys might or might not know that I signed up to pinch hit for the HP Art Project.
I ended up getting two chapters. Book 2, Chapter 2 (in which Dobby gets Harry in trouble with the Dursleys, Harry gets that warning letter from the ministry, and he gets bars on his windows)
And I also got...
BOOK 5 CHAPTER 6!!!
One of my favorite chapters... the one where Sirius tells Harry about the family tree. We meet Kreacher, they clean house, we meet the portrait of Walburga Black, etc.
It's a real challenge to get an entire chapter into one drawing. I really struggled with things like getting Harry the right age, and making sure it was canon enough, plus drawing what I remember in my mind's eye from reading the books rather than going with movie canon. The younger Harry was really difficult 'cause I'm so used to drawing him older now, it's hard to imagine him young like that.
Sirius is always a piece of cake for me. Oh, wait. If he's a piece of cake, maybe I should eat him. Or should I "have" him? Oh, how I'd love to HAVE my CAKE and EAT it too!!
Anyway, this is the post to share those two artses!!
And if you like it, please comment, rec, or something 'cause I think they're great, and I always feel horrible when I'm super-proud of something and everyone else thinks it's trash. -_-

Okay, so not only did I get art, but I got a ROCKSTAR artist, and it's Snack, and it's amazingly gorgeous, and there's a full story in one drawing! And just about as passionate kiss as there can be without actively participating in it!

3) I have the most awesome friends in the universe.
4) Future apologies for not responding when my Snarry_games submission goes up. I'm going to a con in Michigan, and from Tuesday evening to the following Tuesday morning, I won't be around to check email, look at the games, or anything.
Anyway, I'll reply and respond when I get back.
And now, I'm off to work more on stuff. Gotta get everything done before the con.

That drive between Lincoln and St. Paul isn't too bad, but it kind of sucks when you have to do it alone.
However... I got my doll body today (finally) after, what, two months?
And yesterday I posted a list of links in my journal. So if anyone wants to see my fanart, it's on my main journal entries page. Lots of H/D, lots of Sirius-centric, and I'll have more to come soon.
Should post one more on Wednesday, and possibly two next week. :D
