So, I went onto that Needy or Greedy site to put up my request for help. I have no idea what will come of that, but in browsing through the other needs, there was a woman who wanted to provide some sort of Christmas for her two daughters, who are 3 and 5.

Now, I can't really help send money or anything, but I did vote for her, and sent her a message...

... offering to make a couple of little rag dolls for her girls.

She accepted gratefully, and thanked me... well, many times in multiple messages. :D

That made me feel important. I know it was just the paranoia yesterday - the feeling that none of you actually want to hear about what's going on with me, that none of you out there would notice if I disappeared. I KNOW IT ISN'T REAL!

Still this little thing made me feel like I did have a purpose. So, after work today, I'm going to make two dolls. I might see if my boss at work would donate a couple of those little candy storybook things, or some lollipops for the kids, and maybe a box of chocolates or something for mom.

Aww, that's great! So good, that you're reaching out to help others, even when caught in misery. You are such a good person to do that! - a much, much better person than me - the deeper I am in misery, the less I give. *respect/admiration for you*

the feeling that none of you actually want to hear about what's going on with me, that none of you out there would notice if I disappeared - grrr, I know that one too well - I get so sick of my own perpetual misery, you know? - it must be triply annoying for others. But I would notice if you disappeared, and I barely know you! You seem to have a rare capacity for bringing joy to others - you're special!!

You do know that's it's only the depression lying to you, and that you have a huge impact on the fandom and your friends list and oh my goodness, YES we would notice if you disappeared, and YES we want to know what's going on in your life or we wouldn't be here. *pets you* I'm so glad you found another way to reach out to others...do you have a link to this woman's wish page? I've been hanging out at Needy or Greedy a lot lately.
