Okay, so you guys might or might not know that I signed up to pinch hit for the HP Art Project.

I ended up getting two chapters. Book 2, Chapter 2 (in which Dobby gets Harry in trouble with the Dursleys, Harry gets that warning letter from the ministry, and he gets bars on his windows)

And I also got...


BOOK 5 CHAPTER 6!!!

One of my favorite chapters... the one where Sirius tells Harry about the family tree. We meet Kreacher, they clean house, we meet the portrait of Walburga Black, etc.

It's a real challenge to get an entire chapter into one drawing. I really struggled with things like getting Harry the right age, and making sure it was canon enough, plus drawing what I remember in my mind's eye from reading the books rather than going with movie canon. The younger Harry was really difficult 'cause I'm so used to drawing him older now, it's hard to imagine him young like that.

Sirius is always a piece of cake for me. Oh, wait. If he's a piece of cake, maybe I should eat him. Or should I "have" him? Oh, how I'd love to HAVE my CAKE and EAT it too!!

Anyway, this is the post to share those two artses!!

Let me tell you, the caliber of writing in that fest is amazing. I just loved so many of the fics, and I'm not even generally a Harry/Ron shipper.

I did offer to pinch hit (insane woman that I am), and came up with one of the best Harrys that I've ever drawn, and a really fantastic Ron! Sometimes I'm amazed at how much emotion I can get in the characters expressions - even without my consciously doing it.

I know, I'm not an official Snarry fan. Well, I am, but I'm not, y'know? I love them all. Ships go all over the place in my world, stopping unusual and rare ports picking up strange things and sharing them with their loved ones all over the world.

Still, in this one, major port town, the ship is strong, she has tall sails, and her crew is loyal (for the most part), and true!

And for them, here is a motto and a gift.

S is for the Sex, for that's what drew them together
N is for the nose so prominent and proud
A is for Abandon, just the way Harry likes it
R is for Resistance, for which there is a lot at first, and then very little at all thUvrymch
R is for Reading. After all, that's what this gift is for
Y ??? Y? because we love them... with sweat and grease and lube and semen and fluids and magic and squirting, and all that disgustingly smelly boysex stuff we adore.

So, for all of you who understand and suffered through my horrible school cheer, here's a present.

You know those bookmarks I made? I showed you pics of them. A lot of you got one at Terminus. Well, I figured I'd share them all with everyone.

It's a pdf, so you just download it, print it out, and you can cut them apart and use them. Color them if you like. Maybe I should have a coloring contest? Hmmm? That would be fun!!

Here are the four designs I made. Some of them were lightly hand-colored, all of them were laminated. I'm actually rather proud of how all of them turned out. :D
